Greg’s journey, Fort America’s formation, the social tensions, and the very human consequences of personal choices under extreme conditions make this story as emotionally compelling as it is imaginative. It’s a fascinating exploration of how people rebuild society when everything familiar is stripped away, and how even in new worlds, old problems follow.
